Very saddened to hear of Norma's passing she was an amazing lady and great witness my kids loved her as did I she was there cross guard for many years. My condolences to your family
Will always remember her smiling face not only at meetings but as my childhood crossing guard. She truly was a joy to know. May Jehovah help the family during this time of loss.
You were a bright spot on our morning walk to school, and when we came home in the evening. I still got a kick of running into you and saying 'Hi' when I'd see you around town. My condolences to your family and friends - may they know that you were a huge part of a lot of peoples childhood and will always be remembered fondly.
I only knew "Miss Hartley" as my daughters' crossing guard. Just wanted to say what a sweet friendly lady I always thought she was. My daughters adored her and are both saddened by her passing. I enjoyed many conversations with her. My sympathies to her loved ones.
I'm sorry for your loss, When I was still in elementary school, I'd always see her at my bus stop in my neighbourhood, she was always so kind to everyone, every now and than she would even have candy for the kids, she just cared so much for everyone, she will be missed by many. Rest in Peace.
So sorry for your loss. Norma was one of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She always had a hug and a smile for me and I never saw her down. Such a beautiful person. I was always so happy to see her and Gerry. Love to you. Sarah Fernley

The Hartley family has lost a beautiful lady. Her legacy will always remain in the children she crossed at her posts. Her compassion and gentleness combined with her " mothering" to each child reminds us of her endless commitment. If you were not wearing your hat in the cold she tell you to put it on. If your zipper of your coat wasn't done up.. She would stop place her sign underneath her arm and do the zipper up. She was a mother first. She cared endlessly for each of her school children. With out a doubt the Hartley children were so blessed. She was an angel on earth and now in heaven.
My condolences to the family. She crossed me as a small child and then my children. It was sad to no longer see her on our way to school. We even started walking a different way because it just wasn't the same. She will always be remembered by so many because she went above and beyond as a crossing guard. Beautiful soul. RIP.
Norma was the crossing guard in our neighborhood up until her retirement. She was the sweetest and most lovely woman. We spent lots of time chatting on the corner about life. She has been missed in the neighborhood. I'm so sorry for you loss.
