Obituary of Jennifer Sherk

SHERK, Jennifer Jennifer Susan Sherk, passed away on September 1st 2013 at Humber River Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, in her 61st year. She was born on August 10th 1953 in Toronto, Ontario to Raymond John Fredrick Sherk and the late Inge Waltraud Schuller. She is survived by her children, Reuben and Matthew (Dana) Ernst, her siblings Joanne Loader and Marian Sherk, and her Father Raymond Sherk. Jennifer grew up in Toronto, Ontario and graduated from Havergal College in Toronto, Ontario, in 1972. After high school she attended Bristol Old Vic Theatre Schoolin Bristol, United Kingdom where she studied music and theatre. Jennifer was always learning and furthered her education at Mowhawk College in Hamilton, Ontario where she earned a Paralegal certification. Jennifer went on to obtain her Real Estate License and was a top producer at both Re/Max and the Professional Group brokerages in Brantford, Ontario. She was part of MAJIK MAN PRODUCTIONS and her last acting role was in a production at the Hamilton Fringe festival in 2012.In her later years, she devoted much of her time to her faith and continued the study of her faith through Ellel Ministries in Wesport Ontario. Jennifer was always passionate about the things she did. Whether it was acting in plays, singing in the church choir, or baking Plaumen Kuchen(German dessert), Jennifer was always jubilant. Her laugh was infectious, and her spirit never waned. She shared her love with friends family and her many pets(too many to list!). Her faith convictions helped her combat her physical ailments, and she used her remaining strength to assist those in need. Never wanting and always willing to help, she will be sorely missed by many. A Funeral Service will be held at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson St., Brantford on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada.
