BOOTH, Pearl Beatrice (nee Thomas) - Passed away on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 in her 91st year, at Parklane Terrace Long Term Care, in Paris, ON. She was born January 22, 1923 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and spent her adolescence in Esquimalt, Vancouver Island, BC. The family moved to Ottawa when Pearl, (affectionately known as Pat) was 18 and there she learned to become a highly valued secretary, a career she pursued for many years before and after marriage. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of the late Joseph Ritchie Booth of Ottawa ON. In 1966 they moved to Brantford and Pearl worked for the Brant Sanatorium (Tuberculosis Centre) for many years. She was passionate about sewing, and loved reading and summers at their cottage at Crystal Lake, then winters in Florida. Pearl is survived by her two children, Linda Grigg (Erwin Embacher) of Thornbury and Brian Booth of Brantford, two grandchildren, Miranda (Steve) Reis, Leigh Booth (Greig Morrison) and three great grandchildren Dean & Ashley Reis and Blake (Booth) Morrison. She is also survived by her sister Irene Vild, and nephews Jeffrey and Michael Vild of Toledo Ohio. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street, on Saturday, November 9th, from 3-5 p.m. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
