MacKINNON, Wayne - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayne Ernest MacKinnon on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 in his 55th year. Wayne was surrounded by his family as he lost his short, but incredibly courageous battle against cancer. Predeceased by his wife Roza, his mother Jacqueline, and his sister Linda. Wayne will be dearly missed by his son, Aaron (Megan) and his parents Wayne and Joanne MacKinnon, and Ronald MacKinnon. Wayne will be cherished forever by his partner, Dyan Drummond and her children Sean and Cristina. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Lori (Glenn), Tammy (Dan), Leslie (David), Jennifer (Dwayne), Rob (Tammy), Christine (Dan), Bill (Collette), David, and Mark. "Funcle" Wayne will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Monday from 1-2 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Cremation will take place privately. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
