A beautiful blue and white crocheted afghan with a tag that says "Made with love by Grandma" carefully hand-stitched on the corner. It is cold outside and I am feeling sad, but I have spent the week wrapped in the warmth of Grandma's expression of love to our family. It is only one of many treasured items crafted from yarn and needles at our home, but it has kept me warm, comforted me, and filled my heart with memories of a wonderful lady who has given so much and cared so deeply for others. May we be comforted not only by our memories of time shared with a precious woman, but by the hope we have in the Lord God's promises (Romans 10:9-13). When we first had moved to Brantford and Aaron took me to meet Reba, he described her as being a saint on earth. He was right; we were all so lucky to be loved by Reba. We will miss her very much, but take comfort and joy from all the great memories we share of her. We wish that we could be there with all of you.
