Condolences
I visited with Ronnie several weeks ago and we spoke of older better times, specifically the dart tournaments and listening to the local bands on Saturday nights. He dearly loved his daughters. Not only was he proud of the "good girls" they grew into but was pleased with the men they chose to share their lives with. He endured more than his share of pain and suffering in his life. May he now find comfort and peace.
My fondest memory of Ronnie was a beautiful poem he wrote for his girls. I will miss you. You'll always be in my heart. My condolences to his girls and sisters. Love you all!
My brother Ron will be missed by so many people. Especailly his sisters. Our big brother had quite a unique life cut out for him...growing up the oldest in a house of eight girls! We looked up to him and learned to appriciate great music and sports just like he did. I remember being very young when he went away to Germany as a peace keeper and thinking he was sooo very far away and would he ever come home? When he did finally come home and stood in the kitchen in his uniform , I thought I was looking at "Superman"! We cried from happiness at him being home and wanted to hang on to him forever. He married and had two wonderful, beautiful daughters who til this day was and always will be the "lights-of-his-life" Tara and Tanya have grown to be very special daughters who constantly made him proud. He suffered for a very long time with crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis and this disease was devistating to our brother. I find some comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and is up there watching over his daughters and sisters. We loved him ....will miss him and I feel lucky to be able say I had a special big brother. Rest peacefully my dear Ron. Love forever and ever , Sally , Terry and family.

Little Ronnie, You were the sweetest, gentlest cousin to be part of our family. How lucky you were to have 8 wonderful sisters. You were much loved by all. We want to thank you for your time that you spent with Uncle Johnny and us during his last days. Your support at this difficult time was much appreciated you will be missed. Love you John,Sandra,Miranda, and Miles
I wanted to take a moment and share just a couple memories of my uncle Ron. He lived with my family for awhile when I was a teenager and he was always the "fun" uncle; taking my sister Barb and I his girls, Tara and Tany to concerts and other "cool" events. I vividly remember him driving the 4 us through an ice storm to Hamilton see "Corey Hart" - what a trooper!! Uncle Ron was "the" source for sports stats. Whenever I needed confirmation on a player/game or to check anything about any sport, Uncle Ron was my source! It's hard to imagine living Uncle's Ron's life; living in constant pain isn't something most of us can empathize with. Although I'm sad that he's gone, I'm grateful that he is no longer in suffering. I have lots of great memories of my Uncle Ron and I will cherish them always. Sally
my husband and i met ron at the brantford general hospital and struck up a wonderful friendship from the beginning.he always had a smile and a nod even when he was in pain.he was a remarkable and loving person always thinking of others before himself.he will greatly missed by all but never forgotten. "HEAVEN HAS A NEW ANGEL NOW"
We eight girls only had 1 brother so we all had to share Ronnie. Mom always said she wanted to have a baseball team and that's exactly what she got. Ronnie was our "star" hitter. He never ever forgot our birthdays and each of us always got a card or a call no matter where we were. I remember Ron calling me once in July to take him up town to buy Christmas presents for his girls because he didn't want to wait 'til the last minute. I love you and will miss you, Ronnie, and when its my turn, yes, I won't forget to bring you your Proline list and your 2 Mars bars. Love Pork
