To Joan's Family:

I'm so sorry that I missed Joan's memorial service last Saturday. My cousin from Brantford sent me a copy of her obituary which I just received today.

Joan, her five sisters, her Mom & Dad, and I go back a long way, we met in Grade 8 at school when Joan just arrived from the East Coast.

I was Joan's maid of honour when her and George were married and I spent half my time as a teen-ager at her home on Spring Street.

Joan was so vivacious as a young woman it was hard to see her in the nursing home.

I have very fond memories of her and her family back in Holmedale.
