Obituary of George Purdham

PURDHAM, George Thomas - Surrounded by loving family, George passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5th, 2015, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Susan Purdham (nee Phillips). Much loved father of Dean (Tammy) Purdham, Judy (Brian) Gadsby, Barb (Chris) Kilgore, Brenda (Jeff) Collard and Joanne (Chris) Churchill and the late baby Eric. Loving grampa of 10 granddaughters and 8 grandsons. Dear brother of Dorothy Hatos and Mary Purdham and the late Robert. Son of the late Mary Link. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. George served with distinction in fire and rescue for Brantford and surrounding community for over 30 years; in his retirement he worked for Shopper's Drug Mart for over 17 years. At George's request cremation has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE. Family and friends will be received at Freedom Christian Community Church, 152 North Park Street, on Sunday, November 8th from 3-5 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at the church at 11:00 a.m. Donations to Discipleship Christian Secondary School or Freedom Christian Community Church would be greatly appreciated.
