Obituary of Gladys Racette

Racette, Gladys W. (Kopitin) (nee Laforme) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 21st, 2016 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Racette (2005), and the late Peter Kopitin (1971). Loving mother of Diane (the late James) Molnar, Marlene Bice, and the late Barbara Kopitin. Devoted grandmother of Richard P. Kopitin, Craig (Sharon) Dahmer, Elisa Watson (Jose), Tammy Gilkes, Charles (Charlene) Bice, Tanya (and her daughter Nevaeh) Kopitin, Peter Tarrant, and Ryan Hanson, and her 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Dick Laforme and Hannah Garlow and all of her brothers and sisters. She will also be fondly remembered by Christine Montgomery and many nieces, nephews and friends. Gladys brought laughter everywhere she went, and was beautiful inside and out. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson St. on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
