Obituary of Antonin "Tony" Medek

MEDEK, Antonin "Tony" - It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Antonin “Tony” Medek, on November 12, 2017 at the age of 87, after a long happy life filled with family, friends and love. Tony will be missed by Muriel, the love of his life for 55 years, daughters Marsha (Mike), and Michelle (Derek), grandchildren Jim (Lisa), Nick (Christie), Jake and Jordan, and great grandchildren Oliver and Mackenzie. Tony and Muriel met and married in Jasper, Alberta, then settled in St. Thomas to raise a family where Tony worked for Auto-Haulaway for 26 years. Upon retirement, they became snowbirds, spending 13 winters in Brownsville, Texas. In 2005, they moved to Brantford to be closer to family. Tony loved camping, fishing, hunting and travelling. He was a fierce euchre player who found fun in everything. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts and our lives. Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Brantford General Hospital for their compassion and care for Tony.
