Obituary of Georgina Shortt

Shortt (Blenkinsop), Georgina Lillian Verna, On Sunday November 19, 2017 at the age of 92, surrounded by the love of her family Georgina peacefully passed over, joining her very loved and missed husband Lawrence (Jim) Shortt, and her granddaughter Erin Coolican. Georgina leaves a legacy behind in her children Jim Shortt, Frances (Peter) Coolican, Brenda Butler, Gail (Paul) Spong and Gary (Betty Ann) Shortt. She will be greatly missed by all of her grandchildren Ginny (Ken) Smith, Val (Jerry) Butler-Bevan, Vicki Butler, Tim (Ashlynne) Coolican, Rob (Destiny) Coolican, Nick (Meaghan) Spong, Stephanie Spong, Cathy (Scott) Adams, Roxane (Hans) Valentine. Georgina was fortunate to have shared many memories with her 13 great grandchildren, Chyna, Ashton, Brendan, Elaina, Noah, Scarlet, Lea, Tyler, Lukas, Daniela, Fynn, Gray, Annalise and soon to be “Buddy”. Georgina also had two great-great grandchildren Xavier and Willow. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind soul and loving heart. Friends and family will be received at HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson Street, Brantford on Wednesday November 22, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm. A funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Interment will take place at Mount Hope cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Georgina’s name to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
