Long, Raymond
Passed away peacefully at Brierwood Gardens on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 in his 91st year. Husband of the late Winifred Cooper ( nee Holmes). Loving father of Mike (Mary) Long, Steve (Kim) Long and Debbie Long (Iain Connell). Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Adrienne, Stephanie and Jason. Cherished Great grandfather of Samantha, Brodie, Gavin, Bryden and Daxsin. Ray lived a full life. He served 3 years in the Royal Navy where he was introduced to boxing which led to a professional career. Following his military career he became a correctional officer in Brantford achieving Sergeant status. Ray will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to HILL and ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson St. Brantford. 519-752-2543. At Ray's request no service will be held. Donations to the Brant County Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
