Obituary of David Brown

David passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 43 years old. Beloved father of Kohen Mitchell-Brown. David is also survived by his parents Larry and Sue Brown, and siblings Melanie (John), Laura (Mark), Stephen (Amber), Rebecca and his beloved nieces and nephew. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street, Brantford. David's ashes will be interred at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Burford on August 29th at 10 am. Please contact a family member if you wish to attend the graveside service. Donations to the St. Leonard's Society would be appreciated. David loved his friends and family. We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, kindness and support. Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, food and otherwise supported us and expressed their sadness at our loss. Many people have described David as kind, generous and open-hearted. That’s who he really has been – one who would help a friend or give his last buck to help someone in worse shape than himself. He had moments when he was in the grip of his addiction when he was difficult to be with. That was his disease, not who he was. He loved his trade. An experienced drywall guy, he was a perfectionist, who sometimes seemed to be more focused on the art of getting it right and taking satisfaction in a job well done rather than getting as much money from his clients as he could. He loved fishing, canoeing down the river and camping. He especially loved Brant Park, our campsite and the trailer.
