To the Philipps family,
I adored Roger! Working with him during the Days Inn era was a blast! He would always make me laugh when I was having a hard time. We would have great conversations for hours on end.
My fondest memory (hard to choose as there are many), I was working laundry at Days Inn. The maintenance man and I were working on a crossword. Roger came into the laundry room, looking smashing as ever, saw what we were doing, grabbed the paper and completed the entire crossword in 2 minutes flat! Looked at the both of us and said "Right! Now, get back to work". He flipped his hair and strutted away!
He had a light around him that would shine greater than the gods! His laugh was infectious, his smile was inviting. He had a way about him that made you feel like you were the most important person while you were with him.
Roger will be sorrily missed. My deepest apologies that I am finding about this now.
