Condolences
I seems alot longer than just a year, that we lost this wonderful lady and good friend Mona.Ive known mona for about 8 wonderful years. We use to go to bingo quite a bit, did't have much luck but we did have lots of laughs.I went to bingo right after her passing, but it just didn't seem right without my buddy.Mona loved to dance and go to the leigons on the weekends, she would have Jack bring her to my house so her hair could get done, then off they would go a hour before the band would even start, she had to have her favorte table. The clubs just don't seem the same without them there.RIP MY FRIEND
TAMMY ALONZO

When I was 15 I worked at a place in South Bar and Norma and I were best friends then. We hung out together all the time and she always told me that one day she would name a daughter after me! We lost touch after both of us married and it wasn't until reading her obituary in the Cape Breton Post that I realized she had named a daughter after me. It would be so nice to meet you all one day and meet my name sake,Joyce! I think of Norma so often and of all the fun we had together as kids! My thoughts are with you all at this difficult one year anniversary of Norma's passing! Big Hugs!
Jeannette and Family. So very sorry for your loss. Take care of one another. Love sherry.
My Mom,Joyce(Le Blanc)Paquet would like to thank all those who provided photos of Norma and her family to this website. She has not seen Norma since they were teens and it was wonderful for her to get a glimpse into Norma's life. It brought back so many special memories for her.

We never realize how short our life here on earth is, until one of our loved ones are taken from us before we expected to let go. I would like to thank Norma for coming into my life about 2 or 3 years ago. We began to take my mother Sylvia Bradshaw, who suffered from Alzheimers, to the legion to listen to the music and to allow her to dance, one of her most favourite things. That is when an angel came into our lives. Norma would dance with my mom and treated her with so much love and admiration. When Norma couldn't dance at times, she would still spend time with us, talking and laughing. I lost my mother, my best friend in August of last year and my Dad the previous year and we think of all the great times we shared through laughter and tears. I will always be thankful for the time I had the pleasure of knowing Norma. To Jack and the family, please know that you are in our thoughts at this difficult time. Sincerely Pete and Lanaie

Our sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of dear Aunt Norma. She was such a beautiful lady and loved by all. May you treasure all the wonderful memories of her forever in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult days.
We found this poem and wanted to share it with you during this difficult time and to let you know our thoughts are with you all. For you, I wish your Eternal Mother by: Tricia LaVoice The rhythm of her heart soothed you long before you took your first breath of air. Her arms cradled you, her kisses smothered you. She held your hand, tied your shoes, brushed your hair. When you were scared she reassured you, when you were sad she comforted you. She knew you better than you knew yourself. She is your mother. Tonight you are asked to say good bye to her, a quest to grand to comprehend. We are never ready to say good bye to our mothers regardless of age for we are all the child looking up into her eyes when it is time to depart. She cannot hold you now, she cannot nurture your bleeding heart or wipe the tears from you swollen eyes. Mother Nature knew we would all have to say good bye to our mothers one day and that this departure would redefine our being and leave us hallow inside so she gifted all of her children with maternal love. Maternal love to share with one another when a mother must go. Your mother has wrapped her arms around many others in times of grief and heart ache, now let them wrap their arms around you. Find your mother's love in all who love you. See her eyes twinkle through a baby's smile, feel her wisdom in a friend's devotion. In a field of daisies rest your voice and look to the sky, remember the smell of her skin, the softness in her touch. The way her kiss took away the pain of a scrapped knee, the way her voice centered your world. As you feel her so close to you let the rhythm of her heart soothe you once more and you will come to realize that you started off as one and became two and now you are one again, this time it is she who lays within you for she will forever be in your heart. ..”
Thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we will begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Forever in our hearts, always in our memories.
